~How does Shakespeare use metaphor to show Romeos inner thoughts in act 1, scene 4 of Romeo and Juliet~

In Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, he uses metaphors to communicate with the characters  minds. In act 1 , scene 4 ,  Romeo is talking about a bad dream he has had recently, he is saying that he dreamt that something bad would start that night and that it would lead to his “untimely” death.   In this scene Romeo says ” He that hath steerage of my course, direct my sail “.  Shakespeare has represented Romeo as a boat, we know this by the language he has used ; “steerage” , “course”, sail and by Saying “He” he is refuring to  God, meaning that God will sail Romeos ship – that he is going to let God lead him down the path that is right for him.
